Top Governors in the Country

In addition to ranking counties, the survey also assessed the popularity and effectiveness of governors. Murang’a Governor Irungu Kang’ata topped the list with the highest rating, followed by George Natembeya of Trans Nzoia in second place, while Gladys Wanga of Homa Bay secured the third spot.

On a national scale, the survey results have sparked discussions on governance efficiency and public satisfaction. Counties ranked lower are now under pressure to implement better policies and improve service delivery.

The survey, conducted between October to December 2024, sampled 36,200 Kenyans across all counties.

The Infotrak rankings provide valuable insight into the progress of devolution and county leadership in Kenya. As counties continue to compete for excellence, improved governance and accountability remain crucial for sustainable development and public satisfaction
